About Us

In 2002, Ms. Chrlotte Sapp went on an unsuccessful search in the Northeast Bronx for programs that serve women recently released from prison. In response, Ms. Sapp founded Women in Progress to meet their needs.

Women in Progress seeks to help formerly incarcerated women in the Northeast Bronx to rebuild lives. We understand the disorientation of trying to reenter society after incarcertion. We are here for you from establishing identification and a bank account to providing referrals and support groups. Most importantly, you are not alone. We are here to listen to you and support you. Call us. We care!
